Stephanie Kay HowserARLINGTON, VA,: Stephanie Kay Howser, age 47, of Arlington, VA, and formerly of Marion, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at her home.Stephanie was born on April 29, 1969 in Upper Sandusky, the daughter of Robert and Mary Jane (Canupp) Howser. She graduated from Pleasant High School in the class of 1987. She then went on to attend the Ohio State University, graduating in 1991. Stephanie was a very determined, adventurous and motivated woman. She was a licensed Esthetician, spent time at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in the Neurology Department and worked in the Baltimore City Schools where she taught French class. In Washington D.C., she was an administrative assistant for Booz Allen Hamilton, Price Waterhouse Cooper, AIG and The Carlyle Group. Stephanie also worked as an Avon Representative when she was just a young girl.Stephanie was full of wonder and had a zeal for life. At a young age she was an active member of the 4-H Club, showing lambs. In high school she was a member of the band playing the flute. Living in Washington, D.C., she enjoyed so much of the city, especially the Smithsonian Museums. Her adventures also took her overseas to London, England and she studied for a quarter in France. Her hobbies included card making, jewelry making along with decorative soap making. Stephanie also enjoyed watching the Panda and Eagle cams on the internet.She will be dearly missed by her parents Robert and Mary Jane Howser; her brother Andrew Howser; aunt Marilyn Lawrence; uncle and aunt Roger and Patty Canupp; Aunt Kay Canupp; cousins: Leigh Ann (Rick) Cristales, Jay (Mindy) Canupp, Brian Canupp, Tim Lawrence and Cathy Lawrence.Stephanie is preceded in death by her brother Matthew Howser; paternal grandparents: Charles and Muriel Howser and maternal grandparents Fred and Kathleen Canupp; Uncles: Charles Canupp and Don Lawrence.The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the Carlyle Group family who gave Stephanie such loving support during her illness.Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Snyder Funeral Homes, DENZER CHAPEL, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Graveside services will be held Friday at Claridon Cemetery at 10AM with Rev. Beth Ann Mansperger.
