Waslowski, StanleyStanley Waslowski Jr., 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 26, 2017, after a short illness. He was born on September 20, 1928, in Wilkes Barre, PA, to the late Stanley and Pearl Waslowski. On July 8, 1950, he married Romona J. (VanDenBusch). They were married for 65 years. Romona preceded Stanley in death on May 8, 2016. Stanley was a wheelsman for 40 years on the Great Lakes, sailing for Reiss Steamship Company and the American Steamship Company. He retired in 1993.Stanley liked playing cards, cribbage, bingo and enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers. He had a witty sense of humor, always cracking jokes, sometimes it was hard to know if he was teasing or not. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.Stanley is survived by his two sons, Stanley "Butch" (Bonnie) Waslowski and Joseph "Joe" (Lynn) Waslowski; four grandchildren, Karen (Rob) Gitlewski, Kathy (fiance, Tim) Waslowski, Jordan Waslowski and Michael Waslowski; 2 great grandchildren, Ethan and Cora Gitlewski; step grandson, David (Stacey) Ward; two step great grandchildren, Brandon and Emmett; 2 sisters, Anne Kukla and Mary Buczynski; brothers-in-law, Frank Kluk, Jim VanDenBusch, Larry (Ginny) VanDenBusch, Mike VanDenBusch, Gerald (Mary) VanDenBusch and Ralph Schade; sister-in-law, Linda VanDenBusch; family friend, Marilyn Gentry; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including those at Bishop's Court.In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Romona; son, Robert; Brother, Ed (Eleanor) Waslowski; sister, Theresa Kluk; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Len Kukla, Al (Annie) Lewis, Ken (Betty) Naniot, Doris Schade and Rosalyn VanDenBusch; and many other relatives and friends.Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2017. The Funeral Service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home with Deacon Paul Umentum officiating.
