Vick, Shirley R.Shirley Ruth (Dustrude) Vick, age 95 of Winneconne died on Saturday, May 13, 2017. She was born on April 25, 1922 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, daughter of Willard and Ruth (Sheard) Dustrude.Shirley had many talents. She had fun writing what she called "doggerel" verse. She loved to play piano and at one time, also played the pipe organ. She had a beautiful soprano, and later, alto voice and was involved in a variety of choruses over the years, including Sweet Adelines, and she also sang in church choirs. She taught Kindergarten after being a housewife and homemaker for years. She was a wonderful seamstress and a great cook, and found much satisfaction and joy in both. Her gifts were used well, and she enjoyed encouraging the talents and gifts in others. She had a good sense of humor and laughed easily and often. Shirley was greatly loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.Shirley is survived by her husband, Dale L. Vick; her children: Wendy (Don) Halle, Neenah; Christopher (Cathy) Vick, Winneconne; Jonathan Vick, Winneconne; grandchildren: Lynda (Aaron) Bertling, Timothy Vick, Jordan Vick. She is further survived by her brothers: Robert Dustrude, Penguilly, MN; John (Louise) Dustrude, Friday Harbor, WA; a dearly loved niece and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Peter Dale Vick.The Memorial Service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie W. Stine officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
