Mathys, Shirley A.Shirley A. Mathys, 81, Green Bay, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was born on March 9, 1935 to Henry "Hank" and Lorraine Huebscher.Shirley worked for Prange Way, Van's Supply & Equipment, and later Bay Towel. On June 1, 1957, she married James Mathys. Shirley loved sewing, reading, boating, bird watching, snowmobiling, attending "coffee clutches", playing cards and dominos.She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Dan Mathys and his special friend, Linda; granddaughter, Sherri Mathys; brother, Ron (Pat) Huebscher; stepsister, Diane (Lauren) Roethlisberger; sister-in-law, Alice (Jim) Krausert; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Mathys; daughter-in-law, Sue Mathys; her parents; and a brother, Jim Huebscher.Friends may call at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Rd., from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at the church with Rev. Michael Weber O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
