Sheila Marie Slaughter, 49+2, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, June 8, 2012 in Tucson. She was born on April 15, 1961, in Yuma where she attended K-12 and graduated from Kofa High School in 1979. Sheila was employed as a Test Control Specialist for the Federal Government for over 30 years. She adored and raised a lovely family who she dedicated her life to and loved.Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Sansom, as well as both sets of grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Slaughter; daughters, Jessica, Sarah, and Amy; sons, Jimmy, and Matthew; mother, Ella Sansom; brother, Mark Sansom; sister, Yvonne Graf; nephew, Mark Sansom II; mother-in-law, Wanda Correll; sister-in-law, Alisha Renna; brother-in-law, Jon Slaughter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at Yuma Mortuary Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a reception at American Legion #19 on Virginia Drive. Pastor Glenn Graf will be officiating.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to in Sheila's name. You will be in our hearts forever.
