Sharon Lynn Martinelli Sheldon,  of Alameda, California, passed away in San Leandro, California surrounded by her family, Tuesday, May 12, 2020 after and almost two year battle with salivary gland cancer. Sharon was born to Voscoe E Martinelli, and Gloria Rose Martinelli Boyce, January 02, 1955 in Alameda, California.

Sharon attended Alameda High School. Sharon worked as a Waitress with Martinelli's catering and other venues as well as working as a Lifelong caregiver to the elderly. Even while healing from her own surgeries, she was an advocate to the folks in her rehab locations making sure the nurses were taking care of her surrounding friends. 

Sharon is survived by 2 children: Gina Ledesma (Maurice Ledesma), and Michael Anthony Clymer. Her Grandaughter: Giavanna Ledesma, Brother: Anthony Martinelli, Sister in Laws: Ronnie and Andrea Martinelli. She is also survved by many treasured family members and beloved friends including animal friends with scales, fur, and feathers.  She was preceded in death by her big brother Michael Martinelli and her parents' Voscoe Martinelli, and Gloria Martinelli Boyce and  step- father Francis Boyce. 

Sharon loved to laugh and have a good time.  She never met a stranger and would always encourage and advocate for those who could not do it for themselves. 

Sharon was an avid bowler.   When she was 15 years old she bowled a 299 in Alameda at Mel's Bowling Alley and broke a record in junior bowling.

Sharon loved animals and living creatures of all sorts.  She could charm a fly into being a pet. She loved to color, paint, and crochet.   She also loved babies and there was not a baby she would hold that she would not be able to put to sleep. 

The water was her second home.  Give her a swimming pool, hot tub, bath tub, or shower and she was in heaven.  It  was life bringing for her even until the end.

Sharon took the job of being a Noni seriously and she loved her granddaughter to pieces.   She supported Giavanna in all her endeavors and was her biggest cheerleader. She loved watching her dance shows and many of her sports games and of course celebrating birthdays.

Sharon loved the Lord and knew she would see him again when she closed her eyes to this earth and opened them in glory.  Even though cancer took her earthly body, she is rejoicing in her heavenly body and she smiles upon us.  I am sure she is putting in the good word with the man upstairs on all of our behalf.
