Sharon (Iverson) DickensAnderson, CA1936 - 2017Sharon passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on October 21st, 2017 after a quick diagnosis of cancer, at the age of 81. Sharon was born on September 9th, 1936 to Hazel Marcus and Vern Iverson in Bieber, CA. She graduated in 1954 from Anderson Union High School. She met and married Richard Dickens in 1961. Together they built a life in Alaska, first in the Fairbanks area for a few years then moving to Anchorage, there they went in to the restaurant business, and raised two children a son Randy and a daughter Dana. Operated the restaurants for 17 years then retired to Homer Alaska. Missing their family, they moved to Redding, CA in 1992. In lieu of retirement, Sharon worked part time at Costco as a sampler enjoying the interaction of others. Then Sharon and Richard decided after settling down they really still wanted to travel, so they took off and explored Mexico and all that the United States had to offer and enjoyed all that RVing had to offer for 8 years.Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Richard Dickens in 2016. She is survived by her son Randy Dickens (Tammie); daughter Dana Weston (Kevin); 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
