Sgt. Allen Burnett Jr. was born on April 7. 1943 to Murry Lee (Hooper) and Allen Burnett Sr. Sgt Burnett was proceded in death by both parents. Sgt Burnett entered his heavenly rest on March 30. 2019.

       Allen was a retired Sergeant 1st Class for the United States Army. He proudly servred his country for 20 years from Janurary 1963 to Janurary 1983.  In that duration he fought in the Vietnam War, earning the right to be called a Vietnam Veteran. 

      Sgt. Burnett was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs Barbara Ann (Jackson) Burnett for 29 years. To that union three children were born.

       Sgt. Burnett was proceded in death by his wife Barbara Burnett and daughter Shataun Burnett. He was also proceded in death by four siblings, Wade Smith, Arthur Fowler, Rev. Eddie Will Burnett, and Anna Leah Page.

       Sgt. Burnett was survived by three children: Regina (Michael) Horton, Sylvia (Patrick) Bell, Iyiesha Burnett (Tellis Monroe Jr.) Ten grandchildren: Anwar Williams, Christopher Burnett, Tabitha Burnett, Jacquanette Burnett, Terrance Daily, Lawrence Lee Jr., Kianna Lewis, Tyra Lewis, DeShawna Ford, Dwayne Ford Jr. fourteen great-grandchildren. He was also survived by siblings: John Burnett, Richard (Debra) Burnett Sr. Raymond (Wanda) Burnett Sr and June Jones. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that loved him greatly.
