HiteAge: 60Sarah Francis "Suzi" (Fitzgerald) Hite, 60, wife of Gary Allen Hite, of 23 Conner Road, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 in the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.Mrs. Hite was born on November 29, 1955 in Waynesboro, Virginia, a daughter of the late James Parke Fitzgerald and Ruth Marie (Riddle) Fitzgerald Thomas.Suzi was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was employed by Augusta County Public Schools in the cafeteria at Stuarts Draft Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, and homemaking, was an active painter, and loved life and spending time with her family.In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Jason Hite and his fiancée April of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Amber Hite of Waynesboro; two brothers, Michael Fitzgerald and his wife Barbara of Lyndhurst and Richard Fitzgerald and his wife Debbie of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Linda Bowen and her husband Buddy of Verona; four grandchildren, Jensen Hite, Kyli Crosby, Landon Hite and Caden Hite-Hagar; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Stacy Marshall Matheny, Diane Kestle, Frieda and Jim Bisbee, the staff of Stuarts Draft Elementary School; and her special pet dog and companion, "Bentley."The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.A Memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Crossroads Baptist Church by Pastor Heath Spivey.It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Crossroads Baptist Church, Crossroads Lane, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.coffmanfuneralhome.net.
