Sara Ann Stonehouse Obituary

Jan 01, 2016 - Aug 01, 2016

This obituary is administered by:
Sara Ann Stonehouse of East Tawas passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, age 42 years. Sara was born on Jan. 13, 1973 in Tawas City to Terry and Nancy (Moe) Stonehouse. Sara will be remembered for her giving spirit, spunky humor, a "tell it like it is" attitude and a contagious laugh. She was always ready to go anywhere and try anything. Sara loved to read, play games, especially cards, and listening to her music. She loved her pets, especially her best buddy, dog Cooper and Little Tiny Baby Kitty. There will never be enough words to describe our beautiful Sara. A light from our family is gone. A voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in the home which never can be filled. We have to mourn the loss of one we would've loved to keep, but God, who surely loved her best, has finally made her sleep. After a life time of her love and joy and music to fill our ears, God leaves these wondrous memories to help us through our tears. She was a graduate of Tawas Area High School in the Class of 1991 and then she continued her schooling at Delta College where she earned an associate's degree. During high school, Sara began her employment at Tawas Tool through the Co-op program, and she continued her employment mostly as an administrative assistant for 20 years. Sara is survived by her father, Terry (Pam) Stonehouse and her mother, Nancy Stonehouse (Rex Clark); her sister, Geri (Doug) Keisler; two nieces, Jade Briggs and Kassidy Keisler; special aunts, uncles, and so many dear friends. Sara was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie Mae; and her grandfather, William Stonehouse Jr. Her family will welcome friends at Buresh Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. for visitation. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Matthew Carpenter officiating. Her family will also welcome friends at church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Cremation will take place after the funeral and at a later date she will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in East Tawas. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in her name are encouraged to consider the Iosco County Animal Shelter to continue Sara's love for all animals. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
