James, Sandra Lee Reis 77, of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017. Sandi was born on October 18, 1939 in Quincy, Il to Walter & Alberta Reis. Her family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1955 & she attended Tucson High School where she graduated in 1957. Sandi married Harry James in 1958 & then moved to Los Angeles, CA to start her family. She raised four daughters & one son & in 1972 the family moved back to Tucson, AZ. After Sandi & Harry's divorce in 1992, she moved to Mesa, AZ where she stayed until her passing. She is survived by Harry James, her sister Peggy (Jim) Bogard, daughter Kim (Mark) Ziegler, daughter Kelly (Ron) Owsley, daughter Kris (James) Richards, daughter Karey (Steve) Kaler, Grandchildren (Craig (CJ), Nicholas, Stephanie, Rebecca, Hunter, Anthony (AJ), Hailey, Kasey, Kenzey & Kole, great granddaughter Emma & many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Mark James), her brother Michael Reis), her parents Walter Reis, Alberta Medlin, & niece Patricia Bogard. A celebration for Sandi will take place on May 19th at 12:00 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park 400 S. Power Rd in Mesa, AZ with reception to follow. Sandi was a wonderful mother, prided herself with all her grandchildren & was truly overjoyed with her great granddaughter. Sandi always had a camera with her to take pictures of every event the family celebrated & we are so grateful for all the memories she shared with her photos. But in everything about Sandi, she is best known for her faith in Jesus Christ & love of beautiful hymns she grew up with, she raised her children to know the Lord as well & we are all comforted in the knowledge that she is finally home in heaven with her Lord and Savior. She will be truly missed. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, family & friends consider a donation in Sandi's honor to the AZ Chapter of Cure SMA.
