Samuel David HornLANCASTER: Samuel David Horn, 54, was born on March 18, 1962 to Robert and Garnett (Ramey) Horn in Columbus, Ohio. He left this earth on November 12, 2016 to join his Heavenly family while he was volunteering his time for Toys for Tots.Sam worked at Walmart since 2000 in Circleville and Lancaster. Right along with that, he has owned and operated Horn Lawn Care Service for the last five years.He is survived by his wife of 13 plus years, Jodi (Jacks) Horn and his two children, Ruth Ann Davis-Avellino and Matthew (Danielle) Horn. Along with them are his mother, Garnett (Hoover) Horn; siblings, Kay (Keith) Strait, Robert (Bob) Horn Jr., Anita Horn Stevens, Herbert (Robin) Horn, Donna Horn, Karen (Tony) Hutchinson, Larry (Marsha) Horn, John (Leigh Ann) Horn, Mike Horn, Suzan Seymour, Lisa (Andy) Harber and Rodney (Angel) Horn. Additionally are his in-laws, Roy (Martha) Jacks, Amy (Donald) Evans, plus many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Martin Horn Sr.; sister Ramona Lynn Horn; son-in-law, John Avellino; grandmother-in-law, Ruth C. Featheroff; his two precious dogs, Leoboy and Princess, plus many aunts and uncles.Since Sam was such a caring and giving person, his family decided to donate his tissues and organs to Life Care Alliance. He will be giving the gift of life to 50 people.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Christian Center. Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday at Church with Pastor Gary Keller and Larry Horn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots, 7221 Second St, Columbus, OH 43217. Arrangements were handled by Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
