Samuel Frady, Sr.Marion - Samuel Frady, Sr. age 82, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the SECU Hospice of Rutherford County. He was born on September 17, 1934 to the late Ervin and Mary Taylor Frady.Mr. Frady who was affectionally known as "Trading Sam" was the owner and operator of Samuel Frady Used cars, Parts and Wrecker service for over forty-five years. He was a friend to everyone he met, and enjoyed talking to people and loved helping those in need. When he wasn't working, and helping people he enjoyed rock hunting. Sam was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Marion, North Carolina.Sam was preceded in death by his grandson Josh Harris and his great grandson Damon Harris.Mr. Frady is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Loretta Jean Frady; four children, Sam Frady, Jr. (Wanda), Rick Frady, Debbie Harris (David) and Tim Frady; one brother James Frady and one sister Dora Sparks. Also, surviving Sam are five grandchildren, April Cox (Joseph), Nathan Frady, Holly Frady, Matthew Frady and Latisha Thomas (Brian). Seven great-grandchildren, Devin Harris, Zach Thomas, Justin Harris, Annabelle Cox, Cademon Cox, Devin Frady and Kameron Hensley.A funeral service to celebrate Sam's life will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Reverends Eddie Kirkpatrick and Brian Bird officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the church.
