Sally J. HallFeb. 15, 1917 - Jan. 23, 2017SOUTH BEND - Sally J. Hall, 99, of South Bend, IN passed away at 6:49 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 15, 1917 in Hannahstown, PA to the late Harry and Agnes Catherine (Dougherty) Ruble. Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughters, Judy Wingrove of South Bend, IN and Carol J. Hall of Greensburg, PA; two grandchildren, Guinevere (Mike) Shapiola and Erin Learn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Woodrow C. Hall; sister, Agnes Mae (Charles) Fenner; four brothers, William (Pauline) Ruble, John (Margaret) Ruble, Joseph (Clara) Ruble and Clyde (Helen) Ruble; step sister, Ruth (Theodore) Auel and step brother Fredrick (Ruth) Ruble. Mrs. Hall lived in Pennsylvania most of her life, moving to South Bend in 2015. She worked as a chef at a country club. Sally's most admirable quality was her devotion to her family and friends. She was a loving, caring person and dedicated her life to taking care of others. Her love of animals was evident in all the stray animals she took under her wing. She gave them water and food and helped keep their babies healthy. There will be no visitation or services. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
