KARCSAKRuthRuth Karcsak, 84, of Point Place, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Genesis of Point Place. She was born on April 20, 1932 to Walter and Margaret (Eply) Munson. Ruth enjoyed collecting stuffed dogs, gardening flowers and veggies, and playing cards.Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, James Karcsak; sons, Wallace (Joann), Rick, and Jeff Smotherman; daughters, Sandra (Jamin) Woods, Cathy Smotherman, and Kim (Ray) Sykes; siblings, Betty Griffith, Shirley White, James (Linda) Reaster, and Bill Reaster; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William (Pat) Karcsak; brother-in-law, Michael Harsh; former daughter-in-law, Tammi Kille; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Smotherman; and siblings, Kenneth, Bob, Dick, Janet, Donnie, and Margaret.Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2016  from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo OH 43611. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Mike Delong officiating.
