Russell Clark RechelTRAFALGER, IN: Russell Clark Rechel, age 82, of Trafalger, IN, passed away Saturday evening, March 4, 2017, surrounded by his family.Russell was born on December 26, 1934 to Warren V. Rechel and Irene May Wilcox Rechel. On November 11, 1951 he married the love of his life, Shirlee Ann Children Rechel. Russ worked in the dry cleaning business for many years. He finished his working career in sales at Sun Appliance and Sears. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. He instilled the love of camping in his children. But most of all, he loved family time and will be remembered for his gifted story telling.Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Shirlee Ann Rechel; son, Steven Rechel (Cheryl) of Newark, OH; daughters Pamela Rechel-Hess (Robert) of Trafalger, IN, Kathleen Clay (Scott) of Columbus, OH, Sharon Risen (Aaron) of Louisville, KY, Laura Tidball (Jeremy) of Newark, OH; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles (Chuck) Rechel; sisters, Betty Powell and Linda Erickson.Arrangements are entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, Franklin, IN.
