RUBY NEELY
ALTON — Ruby Jewel Neely, 67, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at Four Fountains in Belleville.
She was born on March 17, 1949, in D-Lo, Mississippi, the daughter of Thomas L. and Wynola (Skiffer) Berry.
Ruby married Roosevelt Neely on Feb. 19, 1966, in Maggee, Mississippi, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2011.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Godfrey where she loved going out in field service. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Neely and Trudy Neely, both of East Alton; Excell Norwood of Mississippi, Manchion Neely of Carmel, Indiana, Roosevelt Neely of Alton, Illinois, James (Melissa) Neely of Godfrey, and Matthew Neely of Alton; several grandchildren, and one brother, Bennie (Brenda) Berry of D-lo, Mississippi; and honorary daughter, Tequila Goodman.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Neely, two brothers, Willie Otis and David Berry; and one sister, Lillie Mae Berry.
Visitation will be from 1 until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 17, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Godfrey with Brother Earl Miller officiating.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
