Roy Willis RowleyFort GratiotRoy Willis Rowley, age 83, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on November 23, 2016, in his home, with his loving wife by his side.He was born on December 4, 1932, in Deckerville, to the late Elijah and Mary Rowley.Roy grew up in the Deckerville area, graduating from Deckerville High School in 1951. He and Loraine Seltz were married in 1970. Both worked for Backus Oil and lived in Carsonville at the time. In 1972 they moved to New Mexico for 28 years. Roy held many positions in his lifetime, both professional and personal. Son, husband, uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and friend to many. He was a member of the Carsonville Lions Club and Faith Lutheran Church, Port Huron.He was preceded in death by his brothers, Basil, J.D. and Max (infant), sister, Edith and sister-in-law, Corrine.He is survived by his wife, Loraine and many nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, November 28, 2016, in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron. Pastor Mark L. Huff of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate.
