McGAUGHEY, III, Roy Dorsey Roy Dorsey McGaughey, III, 62 of Decatur, Georgia went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2016. He was born on April 20, 1954 to Roy McGaughey, Jr. and Marian Mattison McGaughey. Roy was an Eagle Scout, graduate of Lakeside High School and Southern Tech. He was employed as an engineer with Power Engineers. Roy enjoyed playing with his grandson Patrick, playing soccer, flying model planes, and playing the French horn for Briarlake Baptist Church and other community orchestras, and in particular with his daughter Noel. Roy is survived by his children, Valhalla, Noel (Pawel) and Marshall (Josseline); grandson, Patrick; his mother, Marian; and his siblings, Margaret, David (Sheila) and Tim (Paige) and their children. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Briarlake Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 pm at the church.
