Rosetta A. (McDowell) Kardos1956 - 2016Rosetta A. (nee: McDowell) Kardos, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.Rosetta was born on March 20, 1956, in Boscobel, Wis., the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruth McDowell. She had two sisters, Koreen Houghton of Kenosha and the late Rhonda Thomas. Rosetta married Brian Kardos in Key West, Florida, over thirteen years ago. They loved to travel and had many adventures together. Rosetta loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had an abundance of love for her family and friends, especially her daughter Callina Wilson and granddaughter Isabella Hart of Kenosha, Wis. She loved to cook, work in her beautiful garden and took delight in spoiling her dogs Bootsie and Pierre.Rosetta worked at United Hospital for twenty years and started her own business providing homecare for the elderly. Her wit and great sense of humor will be missed by all.She is survived by her husband, Brian Kardos; daughter, Callina Wilson; granddaughter, Isabella Hart; sister, Koreen (David) Houghton of Kenosha; her half-brother, Larry (Sandy) McDowell, step brothers, Dave (Barb) Judeika, Chuck Judeika and Vi; step sisters, Peggy (Bill) Dixon, Phyllis Kroesuer and Bev Shindler; her father and mother in law, Jim and Barbara Kardos; sisters in law, Nancy Anderson, Marijane Upton, and Carolyn Wemmert, as well as a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.Rosetta and her family are very grateful for the excellent care she received from Julie and the entire staff at Hospice Alliance. During her final days, she was continuously surrounded by her special caregivers; her devoted husband, Brian; her loving daughter, Callina; Koreen and David Houghton, Sandy Dibble, Jackie Borland-Rossa and Carolyn Wemmert.In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be most appreciated. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rosetta's life on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in the Chapel at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral home, 4 – 7 p.m.
