Morin, Rosena M.Rosena M. Morin, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. She was born on April 8, 1932 in Menomonie, MI to the late Martin and Rose Rasmussen. Rosena married Joseph Felix Morin on May 29, 1954 and enjoyed 63 years together. Education was very important to her and she attended Northern Michigan University and Kalamazoo College to receive her teaching degree. Rosena went on to teach for many years at Washington Elementary School in Neenah. She enjoyed making quilts, reupholstering furniture, and pursuing the genealogy of her Danish lineage. Rosena loved the 4th of July, spending time outdoors, playing piano, journaling, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Joseph Morin; children: Joseph (Barbara) Morin, Connie (Bill) Koehnke, Karen (Larry) Engel, Barb (the late Paul) Canne, and Wendy (Keith) LaBreche; sisters Marion Jones and Dorothy (Larry) Gerue; sister-in-law Beverly Morin; special friend Barb Adams, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Rosena was preceded in death by her sister Martha Cassidy, brother Thomas Rasmussen, and brother-in-law Leonard Morin.The Funeral Mass for Rosena will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah with Rev. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the funeral mass. Rosena will be laid to rest privately at Stephenson Danish Cemetery in Stephenson, MI.
