Rose Marie Sandner 1949 - 2017Rose Marie Sandner, 68, of Athens, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg. Rose was born on January 2, 1949 in Springfield, the daughter of Andrew J. and Elenore Stork Trello. She married Norman S. Sandner on July 13, 1979 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on November 21, 2003. Rose worked for the IL Department of Revenue, retiring in 2002, after 31 years of service. She was a graduate of Lincoln Land Community College. Rose was a member of the Eagles Club in Springfield, the , the Sangamon/Menard County Home Extension, and Holy Family Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lawrence Trello. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (husband, Christopher) Campbell of Mackinaw and Leeanne (husband, Rod) Scherpe of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Jordan Scherpe, Mitchell Campbell, Carolyn Scherpe and Reagan Scherpe; as well as a niece, nephew, and several cousins. Visitation and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 309 Springfield St., Athens. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Holinga, celebrant.
