Geffers, Rose C.Rose Geffers, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 103. She was born on February 26, 1914 in Oshkosh the youngest daughter of Engelbert and Elizabeth Poeschl. Rose married Robert Geffers on November 29, 1940 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her parents, husband, a granddaughter, five sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Rose is survived by a son Peter C. (Kathie) Geffers of Oshkosh; a daughter, Penny (Tim) Richardson of Cherokee, North Carolina; a grandson Bob (Julie) Constantine, five granddaughters, Jill (Mark) Molzahn of Oshkosh, Jennifer Ayers of Kenosha, Coni Jo (Keith) Constantine Harris of California, Susan Gresser of Oshkosh, Sarah (Mike) Porsche of Neenah. She is further survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jamie Constantine; Jenna Aman; Breanna, Haley, Jacob and Olivia Ayers; Delaney, Gavin and Jace Gresser; Kamryn, Noah and Ryan Porsche; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and volunteered at many functions. She was the last president of Sacred Heart Court 1176 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, a job she held for 32 years. She also was a member of the Catholic Knights. She was a charter member of the Senior Center Widow support group and was also a member of Mercy Medical Center Auxillary for 30 years and worked until the age of 92. Rose had several special nieces and neighbors who checked in on her every day when she was still at home. Rose moved into Bethel Home in 2010 and resided there til the time of her death. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Bethel Home, especially those on 2 west and Affinity Hospice staff who cared for her until her death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rose on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the corner of 6th and Knapp Streets in Oshkosh with the Rev. Matt Simonar as celebrant. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
