Roosevelt Sharp, 85, of Cleveland, Ohio, United States, passed Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Marymount Hospital. He was the husband of Georgia Kate Sharp. They shared 65 years of marriage together.
Born in Meridian, Mississippi, he was the son of Luther and Vergia Sharp (both deceased). He was brother to Leo Sharp (Magnolia), Luther Sharp (Lucille), Isaiah Sharp (Mary), Theron Sharp (Mary), Birdie Stevens (William), Walter Sharp (Mary), Martha Myles (Levi). All siblings but one have proceeded in death. Left to mourn Roosevelt's passing is Walter Sharp (Mary). Roosevelt married Georgia on February 6, 1955. They soon relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in August of 1955 where they started their family. He began working for Park Drop Ford in 1956 on the same day that their first born child entered into this world. He worked as a supervisor there for quite some time. 
Roosevelt served as a 33rd degree Mason of El Hasa Temple. Roosevelt and his family soon joined as members and attended Charity Baptist Church under Rev. S.S. Neal. Roosevelt left that church years later only to assist in the founding of True Love Missionary Baptist Church in March of 1980, organized by Leo Sharp (brother). The church, made with love, became a place of worship, praise and fellowship for family, friends, and the community for many years. Roosevelt served as deacon until his passing. He loved The Lord, the church and singing praises. He loved his family. He loved to fish and hunt. He will be remembered for his love, kindness and selflessness. His songs, stories and smile will never leave us. 
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Kate Sharp, and children, Alvin Sharp (Eloise), Jacqueline Bender (Harvey), and Loretta Sharp (Terence Dizard). His grandchildren include Raymond Burton (Juanita), Katrina Sharp, Seth Sharp (Alicia) and Jasmin Kennedy (Charles). Also, great grandchildren Dezmin Johnson (Breanna), Kayla Burton, Charity Burton, Ambre Kennedy, Reighne Sharp, Luke Sharp and Athena Sharp. Lastly, great great grandchild, Tamera Johnson. Roosevelt has left behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and loved ones in his departing. He will be truly missed and always remembered. Rest in heaven forever Roosevelt Sharp.
