Ronald Allen TastetMinden/Shreveport, LA- Ronald Allen Tastet (Ron), 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 30, 2017 after a long illness.Ron was born on May 13, 1941 in Raceland , LA, grew up on the bayou, and played on the Raceland high school football team. He joined the Marines and served from 1959 to 1963 as an MP in Okinawa, Japan. He worked and retired from Permatox Pest Control after 30 years of service.He is preceded in death by his son Tracy Tastet. He is survived by his beloved daughters Rene' Tastet and Kristin Tastet Star and husband Nigel, the love of his life Doris Helen Matthews and her children Diane Spurlock and Tim Matthews, his grandchildren, Judd Spurlock and wife Sarah, Whitney Rodgers and husband David, and Aaron Matthews, His great-grandchildren Hugh, Henry and Hattie Spurlock, and great granddaughter and godchild, Tatum Rodgers.His sisters Nita Zeringue and Rita Boudreaux and numerous nephews and nieces. As well as his close friends Daryl Sears and Don Ashworth.A memorial service will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, E Kings Hwy, Shreveport on Monday, April 3rd beginning with visitation from 5pm and service at 6pm.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
