Ronald Paul Featherstone, 73SUMMITVILLE - Ronald Paul Featherstone, 73, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Summit Convalescent Center, Summitville following an extended illness. He was born on June 8, 1943 in Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School (now Hamilton Heights)-Class of 1961. He worked for Delco-Remy from 1965 to 1998, ELSA in Elwood from 1998 to 2003 and was a guard at the Community Justice Center for thirteen years. He had worked as a QMA at Parkview Care Center in Elwood and at the Summit Convalescent Center in Summitville. He attended the Grace Holiness Church in Anderson. He enjoyed "Ham" radio and his CB handle was Squanto. He loved his family and took great pleasure in writing poetry.Survivors include his wife, Betty (Fouch) Featherstone, married August 15, 1964; two sons, Rev. Paul (Cathy) Featherstone, Alexandria and Farron (Tracy) Featherstone, Mooresville mother, Chelsea Davenport, Hunstville, Alabama; one sister, Betty (Keith) Garst-Sheridan; brother, Tommy Davenport, Huntsville, Alabama; caregiver, Susan Mitchell, and ten grandchildrennieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Jay Featherstone in 1967 and a sister, Patricia Austin.Funeral services honoring Ron's life and legacy will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Noffze Funeral Home, 501 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Revs. Buddy Perry, Tim Wiford, David Mantor and Paul Featherstone will officiate. Entombment will follow in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the Noffze Funeral Home after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, prior to the services.Memorial contributions are suggested to the Grace Holiness Church of Anderson through the funeral home.
