Joly, RonaldRonald E. Joly, age 84, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was born on July 16, 1932 in Green Bay to the late Harold and Mildred (Kotill) Joly. After high school, he joined the
U.S. Navy and proudly served in the
Korean Conflict from 1950 until he was honorably discharged in 1954. Ron then worked as a roofer at Blindauer Sheet Metal and Roofing for 37 years. Ron built a cabin in Silver Cliff where he loved to spend time. He retired and moved to the cabin where he later worked at Matheus Lumber as a contractor. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed tinkering in his garage, cheering on the Packers and Brewers, and teaching his children new things.Ron will be greatly missed by his children, Brenda (Mike) Peterson, Barbara (Scott) Kuske, Wayne (Wanita) Joly, Linda (Bob) Kaufman, Christine (Jon DuBois) Joly, and Jolene (Jerry) Sinclair; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Joly, Thomas Joly, and Kenneth (Rita) Joly; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.Ronald is preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Nancy Joly and Carol Joly; and the mother of his children, Carol Grams.Visitation will be held TODAY, Friday, March 10, 2017, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
