Roland H. Hiles91, of Indianapolis, passed away February 5, 2017. Roland was born on June 25, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Rolan and Ruth (Matlock) Hiles. Roland proudly served his country in the United States Army during
World War II and was an ex-Prisoner of War. After service, Roland worked as a plumber for many years at Indiana University Hospital, before retiring in 1982. He was also a member of the Wallace St. Presbyterian Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, sisters Betty, Roberta and a son, Roland L. Hiles. He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Rick) O'Brian, a sister, Marti Kivett, 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and one on the way.Visitation will be held Monday, February 13th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan - Decatur Township, with military honors.
