Metivier, 67, of Sherry Road in South Burlington passed away on Saturday, August 12th at UVM Medical Center in the presence of his wife and children.He was born on October 19th, 1949 in Burlington, Vermont the son of Andrew and Madeline Auclaire Metivier. He was a graduate of Champlain Valley Union High School, class of 1970. On November 25, 1971 he married Brenda Benoit. He was most recently employed as an engineer at Green Mountain Suites in South Burlington.He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of 46 years, his son Eric, daughter Sarah and husband Chris Johnstone, Grandchildren Caleb, Ethan, Katherine, and Porter, Siblings Maurice, Shirly Ward, Elaine Cross, Sally Desautels, Edward, Michael, and David, a large extended family, and many friends.He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, John, Stanley, Barbara Atherton, Donald, Betty Lanpher, and Theresa Dashnow.Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM with a Memorial service starting at 6:00 PM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel 261 Shelburne Rd.
