December 11, 1979 - December 25, 2016Rogelio "Lucky" Arturo Calderon, 37, of Albuquerque, N.M., beloved father, son, and brother passed away on December 25, 2016, in Laguna, N.M. He died suddenly and unexpectedly due to medical complications. He was born on December 11, 1979, to Helen Ann Sanchez and Rogelio Arturo Calderon Sr. in Alamogordo, N.M. He is survived by his son, Angelo Nicholas Calderon; daughter, Larissa Love Calderon; mother, Helen Ann Sanchez; father, Rogelio Arturo Calderon; sisters, Maria Calderon and Elena Calderon; brother, Danois Calderon; grandmothers, Bessie Baca Sanchez and Teresa Villavisencio; and ten nieces and nephews. He attended Highland High School and joined the
Army National Guard at the age of 17. He worked most recently as a warehouse operational manager. He was vice president of the New Mexico Niner Empire. He was a devout catholic and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where he volunteered and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved football, listening to music and serenading people with his favorite songs, camping and anything outdoors but above all spending time with friends and family. To Rogelio nothing was more important than family and that included not only blood relatives but anyone he shared his life with especially the Niner Empire. He always wanted everyone to be happy and to have a good time. He loved his princess 'Lala" and Ang unconditionally and without fail. He will be greatly missed by the countless people who knew him and the lives he touched. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4 La Luz Rd.,La Luz, NM 88337 on January 6th, 2017, officiated by Fr. Alex Urena beginning with a viewing at 9:30 a.m., and services to begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Cemetery.
