Rodney LaBreeAge: 79 • Danville, VAMr. Rodney LaBree, age 79, of 3323 Westover Drive, Danville, VA, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Chatham Rehabilitation Center, Chatham, VA.Mr. LaBree was born on July 21, 1937, in Guilford, ME, to the late Clair LaBree and Teresa Barrows Williams.Mr. LaBree worked at Lavalley and Ide as a machinist. He served in the U.S. Army from September 1954 until September 1962.Mr. LaBree is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra LaBree of the home; former wife, Barbara Wirtz; daughters, Debra LaBree Cyrus and Barbara LaBree Nelson; step-children, Robert Gonyo, Jeffrey Gonyo, Randall Gonyo and Billy Gonyo; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marilyn Wharff and Debbie LaBree-Moro; brother, Robert LaBree; special cat, Tiger; and several nieces and nephews; also, great-nieces and great-nephews.In addition to his parents Mr. LaBree was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kimberly Gonyo; and sister, Edith Grey.Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2pm at Barker Funeral Home with the Reverend Duane Blevins officiating.
