Rodney Gene HaywardRodney Gene Hayward, age 55, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2017.He was born on June 26, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to M. Eugene & Alice Marie (Wilkins) Hayward. He is survived by his wife Anna (Logan) Hayward of 23 years and his four children, Tyler (Tiffany) Hayward, Dustin (Allison) Hayward, Megan Hayward and Brooke Hayward as well as his granddaughter Micah Hayward. He is also survived by his brother Douglas (Terresa) Hayward and sister Tonya Hayward Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.Rod grew up for the most part in Mason, MI and graduated from the local high school in 1979. He enjoyed drawing, sports and music. After high school he graduated from Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids, MI with a degree in Graphic Design. He combined his love for art with his love of boats spending his professional career creating boat graphics for companies such as Spartan International and Burlington Graphic Systems, Inc.He married the love of his life Anna Logan on October 9, 1993. Together they created a wonderful life together. They both worked from home and were able to spend so much time together these past years. They had two beautiful girls. As a Father, Rod took his role seriously, loving, teaching and teasing all of his children. In recent years, his family has grown as both Dustin & Tyler married wonderful women. Rod has always valued family and one of his newest and possibly most cherished titles is Grandpa to Micah.A celebration of his life will be held at the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church, 120 E Main St. Spring Arbor MI, Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM; interment following at Spring Arbor Cemetery.
