Roberta Hall of East Tawas, formerly of Detroit, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Tendercare Nursing Facility in Tawas City, age 88 years. Roberta was born on Nov. 18, 1924 in Detroit to James and Mary (VanGuilder) Zebley. She married Thomas Hall and stayed home during her younger years to raise their children and care for the home. Those who knew Roberta will always remember how she truly enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, canning, camping and crafting with pottery. She was an active member of Cumberland Furnace Presbyterian Church in Shiloh, Tenn. for many years. Roberta is survived by her five loving children, Janice (Dan) Adams, Raymond Hall, Wesley (Deborah) Hall, Mary (Thomas) Studzinski and Margaret (Timothy) Droncheff; six grandchildren, Veronica, Richard, James, Colleen, Rachel and Catharine; one sister, Lois Thompson; and many dear friends. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hall on Jan. 13, 1989; her parents, James and Mary Zebley; and one sister, Catharine Yarbrough. A graveside prayer and burial service is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. at Cumberland Furnace Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Shiloh, Tenn.
