Barciz, Roberta Roberta Barciz, 72, of Scottsdale, was called home to heaven by the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. Roberta was born on October 7, 1944, daughter of Betty Negrete (Henderson) and John Negrete. Bobbie, as she was known to her family and friends, was born in Manchester, Ohio and graduated from Saint Peter's High School on June 3, 1962. On July 25, 1970 Bobbie married John Barciz in Rocky Gap, Virginia. They later moved to Arizona in 1971 where they raised their two sons, John Barciz Jr. and Andrew Barciz. John and Bobbie renewed their wedding vows in the eyes of the Lord at Saint Matthews Church on September 12, 1977 in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked for ITT Courier with her Mother and later at Collins College. Bobbie is survived by her brothers and sister, Brenda Rider (Kenneth) of Ohio, Dennis Negrete (Kay) of Arizona, John Negrete of Arizona, Anthony Negrete (Lola) of Ohio, James Negrete of Arizona; two sons John Barciz Jr. of Arizona and Andrew Barciz (Stacie) of Arizona and seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Negrete and father John Negrete. Bobbie was a kind soul who was loved by all. She especially loved gardening and animals. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all. A visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday, September 8th at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 9th at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Road in Scottsdale.
