August 18, 1946 - November 24, 2014 Robert "Randy" William Lawrence, age 68, passed away on November 24, 2014 in Santa Monica, California. He was born on August 18, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. As a child his family moved to Monterey Park, California where Randy was raised, and he graduated from Don Bosco Technical Institute, Class of 1964 in Rosemead California. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles in 1969, and his MBA and MBT from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1978. Randy has been an accountant for 33 years, most recently as a partner of the firm, Lawrence and Lewis, LLP, in Los Angeles, California. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Lawrence, and his sister, Patricia S. Lawrence. He is survived by his wife, Juan Xin of Playa del Rey, California; his son, Nicholas E. Lawrence of West Hills, California; his step-daughter, Xinan Fang of Hermosa Beach, California; his mother, Helene M. Lawrence, of Monterey Park, California; his brother, James P. Lawrence and sister-in-law, Leslie M. Lawrence, both of Bullhead City, Arizona; his brother Jerome M. Joseph and sister-in-law Mary K. Joseph, both of Fountain Valley, California; his nephew, Jonathon R. O'Brien of Tucson, Arizona; his nephew, William T. Lawrence, of Flagstaff, Arizona; his niece, Rebecca A. Lawrence of Bullhead City, Arizona; his niece, Anita S. Joseph of Oakland, California; and his former wife, Kathleen A. Lawrence of West Hills, California. A wake will be held at Guerra Gutierrez Mortuary, 5800 E. Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for family, and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for the public with Rosary at 7pm. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 320 W. Garvey, Monterey Park, California. There is a reception after the service which will be held at Quiet Canyon Montebello, 901 N. Via San Clemente, Montebello, California from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
