Robert H. WelshMarch 10, 1930 - December 5, 2016Spring GroveRobert H. Welsh, 86, affectionately known as "Whitey" and "Pappy" passed away at The Haven at Springwood in York on December 5, 2016. He was the loving husband of Catherine I. (Louey) Welsh who passed away in 1997.Robert was born on March 10, 1930, the son of the late Robert E. and Ella (Baugher) Welsh. He worked as a welder for BMY and BAE for over 30 years before retiring. Robert is survived by sons, Terry Welsh and wife Gloria and Kenneth Welsh and wife Kathie; daughters, Geraldine Sweitzer, Joan Knight, and Lisa Sterner and husband Kevin; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Stella Myers, Grace Rohrbaugh and Edna Lentz. A funeral in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m., with his son, Terry, officiating at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The viewing will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
