Robert was a kind, gentle soul who was loved by many. He impacted whosever's life he touched drastically.
Robert was born in the fall of 1934 to a family of 6, in which he was the youngest son. He soon would leave Georgia and move to Dayton, Ohio where he would be raised. Being the youngest, he had to fight for everything he had, but he turned that adversity into his passion of sports. Robert was a phenomenal athlete that won player of the week on numerous occasions through high school.
He graduated some years later and decided to take on a new challenge, the Marines. While in the Marines, Robert saw the world in which he would never have seen without having this opportunity. He worked hard and was able to reach the rank of Captain. And with the Marines he would stay for 8 long years until he decided to come back home to Dayton and raise a family.
In Dayton he met the love of his life, Anne Wilson, who was also born and raised in Dayton. They would soon give birth to five loving children. He also leaves to honor his memory ten grandchildren and counting. He was a huge part of each child's life and helped them navigate through life with his infinite wisdom from all his experiences.
On the cool summer night of June 14, 2017, Robert passed with all his loved ones and family members around. Per his own wishes he was cremated. His memorial service will be a proud rememberance of who he was as a man and mentor to so many. He is gone but his memory and life lessons will never be forgotten.
