Simpson, Robert Martin "Marty",71, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was born on January 11, 1946 in Maysville, KY to the late Margaret Cobb Simpson and Fred Snyder Simpson. He graduated from Eastern KY University and attended law school at Ohio State University. He became a probation and parole officer in Maysville in 1972. His career took him to West Palm Beach, FL where he was promoted to District Supervisor of Probation and Parole of Palm Beach county and retired in 2003. He and his wife Kris moved to Sebring, Florida in 2005. Marty was an avid reader, devoted University of Kentucky Wildcat fan, and loved to exercise and play golf. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to the beach and sporting events.Marty is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kristine Robertson Simpson: daughter, Teresa Simpson Metzger (Darryl) of Louisville, KY and stepson Jason Robertson (Tonya Mattox) of Lexington, GA. He is also survived by his brother Steve and wife Betty Simpson of Winter Haven, FL.He also leaves his grandchildren, Barrett (25), Mitchell (22) and Natalie (19) Metzger of Louisville, KY and Jacob (26) and Jared (19) Robertson of Lexington, GA.The Neptune Society of Florida will handle arrangements for Marty.
