Robert ""Bobby"" Manzanares Sr., 60, a longtime resident of Sena, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, in Las Vegas.He was born on Dec. 6, 1954, in Las Vegas to his parents, Juan Manzanares and Agneda Griego.For the past 15 years, Bobby has been a business partner with his brother, Johnny, with The New Image Construction Company. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, a good friend and business partner. Robert was the hardest working man. He enjoyed playing, coaching and watching basketball. He also enjoyed riding his Harley. He lived for and loved his Manzanares family. A Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Villanueva.He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Agneda Manzanares; sister, Mary Salazar; brothers, Richard Manzanares; infant brother, Anselmo Manzanares; and two nieces, Martha Gutierrez and Lucille Salazar.He is survived by his son and daughter, Robert Lee Manzanares Jr. and wife, Roseanne, Jessica Manzanares, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Isaiah Manzanares, Matthew Martinez Jr., Jacob Martinez, Louiz Funes, Dominic Sena and Andrew Sena; companion, Sharon Knott of Albuquerque; brother and business partner, Johnny Manzanares and wife, Margaret, of Sena; sisters, Tillie Gonzales and husband, Fernandez, of Sena, and Dolores Schaeffer of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Roy Leyba of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Angie Manzanares of Española; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at San Miguel del Vado Church in San Miguel. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. today (Friday) also at San Miguel del Vado Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will take place at Sena Cemetery in Sena with the following serving as casket bearers: Adam Leyba, Tommy Salazar, Rudy Leyba, Isaiah Manzanares, Matthew Martinez Jr. and Rick Romero.
