Robert Leslie Morrill(Bob), 68, of Burton, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, December 04, 2019 at McLaren -Flint after a short illness.

Robert was born to David Jewett Morrill and Sally Ann Morrill, September 11, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan. He was raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he lived until shortly after graduation.
Robert graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1970.  Robert worked at Mclaren Flint for 35 years until he retired in 2016. He worked a variety of jobs during his time at McLaren.  His most recent job at McLaren was as an Endoscopy Technician, which he did for at least 8 years.  

Robert is survived by 2 children: Robert Adam Morrill and Christina Richardson (Brandon Richardson), and grandchildren Emery Richardson and Ashlynn Richardson; his parents, David J. and Sally Ann Morrill; brothers Dr. David S. Morrill and Paul Morrill, sister Dr. B.J. Sidari; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle, and many friends.

In addition to spending time with his family, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and flying remote control airplanes.  He had a private pilots license and enjoyed taking people up in a two-seater Cessna airplane. 

Bob loved aquariums and fish ponds. He had a small aquarium business on the side for 20 years in which he bought, set-up, designed, stocked, and serviced aquariums. In his later years, he had a large pond built in his back yard and stocked it with exotic koi. His grandson Emery loved ringing the bell and feeding the koi with his papa. 

Bob enjoyed model train sets, and was in the process of setting up a large model train village in a room in the house, so that he and his grandson Emery could enjoy their train hobby together. 

Another thing that Bob liked to do was collect and play vinyl records. He would dance with his granddaughter Ashlynn as he played favorite songs.  He also bought and restored old cabinet speakers.  

Bob never met a stranger.  He was always willing to help those in need. At McLaren, he was known for his dedication to his job.  He was always willing to come in when they had an emergency, no matter the time of the day or night.  In his later years, he was known for his generous giving to others. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Faith Tabernacle Church, which is located at 1225 Center Road, Burton, MI, 48509.  Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. The service will follow at 1:00, with a reception following
