Woods, Robert L. Sr.,91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 8th, 2016 at Jewish Hospital. He was born on December 25th 1924 in Muhlenberg County. Robert worked at Cinderella Shoe Shop in the Galleria until he retired. He was an enthusiastic U of L cardinal fan and an avid bowler with Executive Strike and Spare Senior's League. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret A. Woods, a loving daughter, Linda J. Rhodes, and his parents Anna Mae and Curly Woods. Precious moments will live on in the hearts of his sons, Humphrey (Arlene), Vincent (Peggy), Robert Jr., Michael (Tommie) Woods, Frederick Rhodes (Sherria), and daughter, Adell Woods. His Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday November 12th 11 a.m. at Philips Memorial C.M.E., 3535 Grand Avenue with burial in Louisville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6-9 p.m. at A.D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home 1300 West Chestnut Street.Appreciation is extended to Christian Care Homes West for their loving care during his last year.
