Robert L. Joelage 87, of Indianapolis, passed away September 22, 2016. He was born on October 8, 1928 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to the late Clarence and Iloe Joel. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and Wabash College. Bob served in the US Army during the Korean War and later spent the remainder of his working life in the insurance business for Great American, Marsh and McLennon, and Farm Bureau Insurance Company. After retiring in 1993, Bob and his wife Joan traveled extensively around the world visiting many countries, which was truly a passion of theirs. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Joan Mortrud Joel, their sons Robert and David Joel, as well as their six grandchildren: Constance, Michelle, Morgan, Rebecca, William and Karyn.A memorial service for Bob will take place at Marquette Manor on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Bob's family requests that donation be made in his memory to The Marquette Manor Foundation, Attn: Michael McGinley 8140 Township Line Road, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Arrangements entrusted to leppertmortuary.com
