Robert "Bobby" J. PopeRobert "Bobby" J. Pope, 39, of West Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017.He was born on August 24, 1977 in Lafayette to Robert and Rhonda (Gregory) Pope.Bobby worked as a mechanic and had previously worked for Star Tire in Lafayette. He enjoyed building race cars, Hot Rods, and Rat Rods.Bobby is survived by his daughter, Montana Pope of Lafayette; his parents, Robert and Rhonda Pope of Lafayette; his sisters, Jessica Evans of Delphi and Ashley (Roy) Adams of Lafayette; his brother, Scott (Natasha) Vessels of Lafayette; and his grandma, Carolyn (Chuck "Fat Rat" Brouhard) Gregory of Mellot, IN. Also surviving are his aunt, Pamela Pope of Lafayette; his uncle, Richard Pope of Lafayette; and his 5 nieces and 7 nephews.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Weller and Dorothy Pope and grandfather, Danny Gregory.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with services following at 7 p.m. with Rev.
