NEWPORT NEWS - Mr. Robert H. Veale was born on November 22, 1940 in Bayonne, New Jersey, to the late Ernest, Sr. and Gertrud Veale. Robert attended Public School #22 and also attended Lincoln High School in Jersey City, New Jersey and graduated June 1959, followed by Jersey City State University, where he received his Bachelors and Master's Degree in Education. While at Lincoln High school, he was an excellent athlete, excelling in basketball and track.Robert was employed by the Jersey City Department of Education as a History teacher, teaching at Lincoln High School until he was employed with Jersey City University as the Administrator of the Student Evening Programs, until his retirement, after over twenty years of employment.Robert leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Shade, one granddaughter, Anelise Camille, siblings: two brothers, Lloyd and Ernest, Jr. and three sisters, Gertrude, Phillis, Darling. He predecease by his sister Amy and brother Donald.He leaves to cherish his memory a host of family members, many loving relatives and many loyal and grieving friends.A memorial service for Mr. Robert Veale will be held 11:00 a.m Friday , December 9, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church. 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton,VA.
