Kohlmann, Robert F.Robert F. Kohlmann, 82, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by his family.Robert Fredrick Kohlmann was born on June 29, 1934 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late Oscar and Helen (Wolter) Kohlmann. He was a 1952 graduate of North High School in Sheboygan, WI. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea with the 17th Field Artillery Battalion and was discharged from active duty in 1956. Bob held many jobs in his lifetime as a welder, lab technician, and field service that took him to several other countries. Bob is survived by his life partner, Elaine Toston of Sheboygan; four stepchildren William Toston, Donna Delio, Debra Doubet, and Terry Toston. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his close cousin Delores (Robert) Ritter of Brimfield, IL., also many other cousins, relatives, and friends. Bob was the last immediate member of his family.Bob was an avid Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan and had many interests including computers, fishing, photography, and politics. He most of all loved spending time with family and friends. The family would like to thank the 7th floor nurses and doctors at Appleton Medical Center and the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided Bob. The family also appreciates the kindness and visits from Wayne Schwanke, chaplain at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.A private family burial will take place at a later date with military honors at Evergreen Cemetery in Algoma, WI. The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME of Algoma is assisting the family.
