Robert E. "Bob" PeckMOUNT VERNON: Robert E. "Bob" Peck, 56, of Mount Vernon died unexpectedly Saturday morning, December 24, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 22, 1960 in Newark to Craig H. and Nancy J. (Spence) Jr.Bob was a 1979 graduate of Newark High School, where he was a member of the varsity football, which started his love for football. He was a machinist for many years for Siemens in Mount Vernon and a member of the I.A.M. Local 90 Machinist Union. Bob coached colt football for over 21 years in Mount Vernon and at East Knox. Also in his spare time, he enjoyed watching his Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians and Nascar. Bob never met a stranger and every time you met him on the street, he always had big smile on his face and asked how you were doing. He loved mentoring the youth of Knox County and most of all he will be remembered as a true family man.In addition to his parents, Craig and Nancy of Newark, Bob is survived by his children, Bobby Peck and Andrea Peck of Mount Vernon; his brothers, Michael Peck and Chad (Jennifer) Peck of Newark; a sister, Christina (John) Arbogast of Bloomington, IL; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo (Paul) Ferrell, Barbara (Tom) Woehrle, and Janet (Albert) Stirk all of Newark; nieces and nephews, Bobbie Jo, Jennifer, Angela, Jeremy, Julie, Annie, Zach, Kyle, Alex, Maddox, Sydney, Hayden, Carter, Chanzler and Makenzie; numerous great nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Chief.Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue A. (Reay) Peck on October 29, 2016.The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of a memorial service celebrating the life of Bob at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon.Memorial contributions may be made to your local youth football program in Bob's memory.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting,
