Becker, RobertRobert Frederick George Becker, 87, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the Hospice Home of Hope surrounded by his loving family.He was born on August 12, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Dorothy (Biller) Boecker.Bob was a tool and die maker in Chicago for many years. His life was spent being the best daddy and grandpa a child could ask for. Bob loved to take care of the "family dogs" when the family was away. He loved taking his grandsons to little league practice and games and was always in the stands to cheer them on; also spending time with his granddaughter whether it was driving her to school or attending musical events. He was happy to have been alive to see the Cubs win the World Series, a feat shared with his sister Eleanor.He is survived by loving daughters, Laura Cashman-Burden and Dawn (Dave) Sampson; grandpa to: Jeff (Victoria) Brown, Zoe Brown, Jeff Jr., Bella and Jeremiah and many beloved nieces and nephew and friends.Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two grandsons, Thomas DiGangi and Jeremiah Brown, brother, Kenneth, sisters, Ruth Lorraine, Eleanor and Florence and former wife and friend, LouVa Becker.Visitation and Service: Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 4:45 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 901 County Road V, Fond du Lac. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM.
