Linzmeier, Rita L.Rita L. (Bloch) (Smith) Linzmeier, age 74, was blessed by her Lord during her life and now has received the greatest blessing God has given her, life in heaven. Rita was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. She passed away peacefully on December 25, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born on October 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Aloysisus and Bertha (Kersten) Bloch in Appleton. She grew up in Kaukauna and attended Park Side Grade School, Holy Cross Church and Kaukauna High School. Later on in life, she attended Fox Valley Technical College and studied bookkeeping. On April 23, 1988, she was united in marriage to Charles M. Linzmeier Jr. Rita worked at Neenah Paper for 31 years and volunteered at numerous places. She was a member of Christus Lutheran Church in Greenville. Rita has taught everyone how precious life is, how our faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ is most important and much total control God has over our lives. Even through all the sorrow, we can rejoice knowing that Rita is in the hands of our creator, rejoicing with angels and walking with the Lord. Her sense of humor and her laughter will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, Gerald (Carol) Smith Jr. and Timothy (Janice) Smith; daughter, Christine Terens; grandchildren, Amber (Brett) Lamers, Scott Terens, Joshua Terens, Isaiah Smith (special friend Ashley Wideman), Ezekiel Smith, Calvin Rockey; great-grandchildren, Kasper Will, Ariya Hudson, Sophie Wildman and Nathaniel Eberhart; brothers, David Bloch, Richard (Betty) Bloch, John (Judy) Bloch; sister, Anna (Pat) Rochon; brother-in-law, Francis Slomska and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.In addition to her parents, Rita was also preceded in death by an infant son, Cory Smith, Nathan Terens and her sister, Roberta Slomska.A funeral for Rita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Christus Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Gary Nokleberg officiating. Friends and family may visit directly at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Appleton.
