RITA JOHNSON, 67, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed Tuesday, April 09, 2019. RITA was born to Jessie Johnson, and Luella Johnson on February 23, 1952.

RITA graduated from Benton Harbor High School & went on to do other things which lead her to her move to California  where she became employed doing janitoral services & also started a new life with her girls Erica & Nicky.  Rita like her mother Luellla was not only a mother but also a provider for not only her girls but whom ever she felt she could extend her olive branch out too.  Rita is known for her quick yet slick tongue. Rita had a huge heart, extremely strong soul & always spoke her piece.  To know Rita was to love her.  Rita LOVED to cook & her gumbo, pies & banana pudding were & will continue to be family favorites.  Rita was very family orintated family was everything to her.  Rita adorded her grandkids & great grandkids & did not play when it came to her babies as she would refered to them as.  

Rita was extremely funny & always had us laughing no matter what type of mood she was in.  My moms best friend was Wanda if you saw one you saw the other. Please know that you are now & will FOREVER be loved & missed beyond words Mama..

Rita is proceeded in death by her mom Luella Johnson, her dad Jessie Johnson, her sister  Judy Johnson, Luella (Lynn) Johnson, her sister Mona Lisa (Brown) Richmond, & her great grandbaby Ania Walters.

Rita leaves to cherish her memories & to celebrate her life 2 daughters Erica Walters, Jalita Johnson, & 1 son.  Her grandkids Maurice, Freddy, Michael, Lil Erica, Lashawn, Pashoun-Nay, & Kion.  Great grandbabies Maurice Jr, Alyiah, E'Monii, Key'zon Marshon, Masi, & Deserai.

Rita also leaves to cherish her memories & her life her siblings Florence Pargo, Stephen Brown, Charles Brown, Mona Lisa Brown, Mona Marie Brown, Luella Lynn Johnson, Ellen Johnson-Nelson, Doris Regina Johnson, Jessica Yvonne Johnson-Gibson, Joseph Johnson, Pamela Johnson, Bruce McPike, & Mickey & Michael Johnson.

Rita also leaves to cherish a host of MORE grandkids & great grand kids, nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews & friends.
