Rickey D. BalsleyOctober 14, 1951 - November 5, 2016BREMEN - Rickey D. Balsley, 65, of Bremen, passed away at 4:25 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2016 surrounded by family. Rickey was born on October 14, 1951 in Bremen, the son of Marvin and Madene (Weaver) Balsley. He is survived by his son, Michael (Allison) Balsley of Plymouth; three grandchildren, Broderick, Lance and Owen Balsley; mother, Madene Balsley of Bremen and two brothers, Jerry (Marty) Balsley and Ron Balsley, both of Bremen. Rickey was owner/operator of Rick Balsley Tree Service and Electrical. He was a member of the Bremen Church of the Brethren. He was also part of the Bremen Fire Department for 20 years and a member of the I.V.F.A for 30 years. He enjoyed driving around on his moped and hanging out at Netter's, where he was part of the "Netter's Coffee Club". He also enjoyed the hunting and fishing. Rick was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother, who loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed by all. Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in Bremen Church of the Brethren, 921 Woodies Lane, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the church, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
